Futons for Sale-Full Sized Futon

Loveseat futons are a popular type of furniture that is great for various situations, especially when space is tight. While they usually are roughly the size of a couch, they can be easily converted to use as a bed or recliner as well. With a number of points to consider, those purchasing loveseat futons need to be aware of their different sizes and other features.

Loveseat futons are not as wide as other types of futons and are thus used most in places where there is not a lot of room. Be it a full sized loveseat at 54” or a twin-sized at 39”, they are great for situations were wall space is limited. Being smaller, they can also be moved easier and are thus a popular choice for those who move their futons more often. With their lightweight, modular design and ease of cleaning, they can be moved outside or to more exposed areas much easier than other types of furniture and without as much risk of damage.

Although they are not as wide, loveseat futons are usually not significantly shorter than other futon sizes. This means they can still be used as recliners or beds when the need arises just like full sized futons. They are basically three types of furniture rolled up into one: sofa, lounger and bed. Before purchasing a loveseat futon, look at how it converts and the type of frame. Pullout frames are popular because of the ease in which they convert, but they are also available in A-frames.

Loveseat futons can be found with two major types of mattresses. With cascading mattresses, the extra section (folded over lengthwise) is either cascaded over the back of the futon or folded under the seat to provide extra cushion. The disadvantage of this type of mattress is that it usually cannot be as thick, or it will be too difficult to fold.

A splitting mattress comes in separate pieces so that the extra one can be totally removed when the futon is being used as a sofa.

Some places loveseat futons are popular are in guest and dorm rooms where space is tight. They also can be great for children’s rooms where the futon mattress if often removed and used as padding to protect small children from injury.

If space is tight, the furniture needs to be moved often or any of the other advantages loveseat futons offer apply, this type of futon will likely be the right choice.
